Creative & Unique Girls’ Night Out Ideas

One of my favorite things to do is spend time with my girlfriends. Our nights out typically involve going out to eat, seeing a movie, or grabbing a drink at the local bar, but there are many other options that can shake things up for a fun moms’ night out in Collin County. Below is a list of creative, unique, and FUN girls’ night out ideas!

1. North Texas Escape Rooms

Get your creative juices flowing by figuring your way out of an escape room at North Texas Escape Rooms. A totally different take on an interactive experience, escape rooms can be a super fun way to connect with your friends for a unique girls’ night out. Each room has a theme where you use clues to solve puzzles before time runs out. You can share the experience with other players and make some new friends, or you can book a private girls’ night out party. This could also be a fun family outing, as it’s the only escape room company in the DFW area that has games designed for kids, too.

2. Mitas Hill Vineyard & Winery

Get out of the city and head to Mitas Hill Winery, just northeast of McKinney, for a relaxing evening with your girlfriends. As you drive along the small farm roads, it feels like a small paradise with the rolling fields and blue sky. The quaint vineyard includes a wine bar that serves pizza baked in a wood-burning oven and other small appetizers. They also offer tours of the wine cellar and vineyard.

3. Legacy Hall

The Legacy Food Hall in West Plano is like a gourmet food court, perfect for a fun girls’ night out! It features local chefs and entertainers, so it’s unique to North Texas. There are more than 24 food stalls, several cocktail bars, a wine bar, a brewery, and a tiki bar.  After you peruse the food and drink, head over to the Box Garden for FREE live music every night of the week.

4. Board & Brush

Create your own DIY custom wood sign at Board & Brush in Plano. Choose from a gallery of 100+ designs and a variety of paint colors and wood stains. They also have clock-making classes! They guide you through each step of sanding and distressing the wood, and personalizing it with your monogram or name. No prior woodworking experience required, just a desire to create and have fun! They also offer private workshops for birthday parties and bachelorette parties. Live a bit farther north? McKinney has a similar company called The Board Bar

5. The Iman Project

The Iman Project was created to be fun ‘On the Table’ workshops with a purpose that bring together women of all backgrounds and walks of life. The workshops have different themes, including a woodworking class where you can build a custom farm bench (how cute!) or create a succulent terrarium. Other themes include art lettering, painting, arranging flowers, sketching, and candle making. They also serve cocktails and lunch for a memorable, unique girls’ night out experience. Locations for these workshops vary, so check the link for workshops in DFW.

6. Painting with a Twist

Get creative with your girlfriends at Painting with a Twist. This is a fun and casual atmosphere where you can bring your favorite beverage (Pinot Grigio, anyone?) and let an experienced artist guide you step by step in creating your own personal masterpiece.

It’s a fun way to get motivated and mix up your workout routine. Check a location near you for class listings or private classes for your group of friends.

  1. Sweets on a Stick in Frisco is a great place for girls night! Located in an adorable little house in the Rail district, they have byob cookie and cake pop decorating classes! (Like painting with a twist, but better because you don’t have to figure out what to do with your creation afterwards! 😆)
