A Collin County Mom’s Guide to Local Libraries

Our family loves the library. We started going to the library when my son was three months old. My son and I visit two libraries in Collin County every week and utilize all the wonderful resources at each one. What is even better is that they are free! Here is a guide to some of my favorite libraries in Collin County, but feel free to let me know your favorites. Happy reading!

Frisco Library

6101 Frisco Square Blvd, Frisco 75034

The Ready to Read Railroad is unique to Frisco and is a wonderful place for children ages 0-5 to engage in active learning with reading, writing, science, and many other disciplines, all in a fun environment. There is a max capacity of 28 people and on peak days there can be a wait. This is free for anyone to visit and you don’t have to live in Frisco to enjoy this wonderful place.

The Frisco library also has story time classes for all ages to enjoy. We personally attend a Lap Baby class on Wednesday mornings and have made many friends since we started attending. These story times are interactive and fun, and I love how my son enjoys the time we spend at the library. They also offer many activities and classes for older children and the entire family.
