The Crayola Experience – There’s tons of kid-friendly fun happening this month, including an Island Excursion, Toddler Tuesdays, and Sensory Sundays! Check out the website for full details, dates, and cost.

Grandscape’s Fun in the Sun Series features entertainment and activities every Tuesday morning. First up this month is “Zoofari” on July 11. See link for details on each week. 10:00 a.m. –12 :00 p.m. Free!


Lucky Duck Kid’s Club, every third Wednesday of the month. Storybook theme and craft time, 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. Sign-up on the spot! Activities are geared for children ages two to six years old, but all children and their families are welcome. Free!


Play in the Park – every Tuesday in July, 9:00- 10:00 a.m., at Willowcreek Park, AND every Thursday at Stimpson and Drake Park. This event is free and no sign up is necessary.


Red Tent Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Come out and buy locally grown produce and other goods at the farmer’s market located in The District! More than 20 vendors will be in attendance every week, offering everything from local produce, baked goods, and handmade artisan goods to grass fed beef, farm fresh eggs, locally harvest honey, and plants.


Summer at the Arboretum in Dallas includes all sorts of different activities and presentations! Family Fun Fridays return all June and July, with a petting zoo and story time for the kids – and frozen treats for purchase – all at the Pecan Grove. Live piano performances continue all summer long at Jeanne’s Pavilion, each Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., and Dallas’ best party bands hit the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage each holiday weekend from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Included with garden admission.


Weekdays through August, Studio Movie Grill in Plano offers a Summer Movie Series for kids during the first showtime of the day every Monday–Thursday. See link for the weekly movie line-up. $6 tickets include popcorn and a drink.


Summerfest is in full swing at the Gaylord Texan. As a hotel guest, you’ll have access to the Gaylord’s Paradise Springs waterpark and a chance to participate in other seasonal family-friendly activities like movie nights, exotic animal encounters, scavenger hunts, and more.


It’s time for the annual Sounds of Summer concert series! Reserved seating is available for $20 per ticket. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from 8:00 – 10:00 p.m. See link for details.


VBS – Take a look at the 2023 Guide to VBS in Collin County for lots of local vacation bible school events this month.


Tot Splash Time will be held from 10:00 am – 12:00 p.m., every Tuesday and Thursday, at Jack Carter and Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center pools; and Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at Oak Point Recreation Center pool. Kids ages six and under, with parents, can enjoy the tot features at the outdoor pools before they open to the public. Cost is regular admission and participants are welcome to stay once the pool opens to the public.
