Collin County Moms Blog is made up of a team of 30 blogging mamas, but our Executive Team is the driving force behind events, sponsorships, giveaways, emails, and all things that make Collin County Moms Blog go round!
From a fourth grade teaching career in Richardson to managing a letterpress studio in the Design District of Dallas, Krystal finally found her calling with the not-so-simple life of motherhood. But motherhood can be lonely! In 2012, Krystal found her calling with Dallas Moms Blog as a contributor, and went on to purchase the site in 2013 from founder Lauren Kimmel. Dallas Moms Blog has been extremely successful in its relationships with the Dallas metroplex community and business partners, but as the city has grown, so has the desire to create a separate site for Collin County moms to call their own. In 2016, Collin County Moms Blog officially came to fruition! She’s been married for her best friend and husband, Tim, of 14 years and enjoys spending time with her boys, Mark (2011), Zachary (2013), Nathan (2015), and baby boy #4 due Summer 2018. Her passions are eating cheaply, traveling often, and photographing every minute of it!Jennifer is a native North Texan, and grew up in Plano. Jennifer graduated from Southwest Texas State (Eat ‘Em Up Cats), and started planning events right out of college in 2005. She now resides in Richardson with her husband and two young daughters. When she’s not planning events, she enjoys volunteering at her daughter’s school, going out for girl’s night, and spending as much time as possible at the lake with her family.Katie resides in Plano and is a Stay-at-Home mommy who rarely “stays at home”! Katie and her husband are both Mississippi natives and alumni of Mississippi State University. (Insert cowbell ringing.) They started out with a four-legged child, Manny, and five years later decided they were ready for the “real thing”. Greyson was born in October 2014 and in April 2018, they welcomed a little girl, Taylor Elizabeth. Her favorites include ANYTHING chocolate, SEC football, Netflix binge-watching, small town festivals, shopping the clearance aisle at Marshall’s, and throwing theme parties. Andrea misses the food and trends in Dallas, but loves spending time in the mountains with her husband and 3 minis – William (2010), Rae (2012) and Lila (2014).Her Pinterest board is full of craft and DIY pins that she will never do, her real craft side is in the kitchen making some good southern homemade meals.Born and raised in Texas, Wendy has always called Dallas home. After graduating with her Bachelor's in Psychology and Master's in Higher Education at Texas Tech, Wendy moved back to Richardson and accepted a teaching position with the district she grew up in. In 2010, Wendy married another life-long Dallas resident who had been a friend since high school, Philip. Once her daughter was born (2012), Wendy decided to become a stay-at-home mom. She currently spends her days nurturing (and chasing around!) her daughter and son (2015). Wendy is also deeply involved in her church's MOPS group and enjoys helping other mothers find their "people".Carly lives in North Dallas with her husband of six years, Will, her son, Mason (3) and baby girl, Olivia (1). When she isn’t busy getting her spirited toddler a yogurt or juice, or loving on her sweet infant, Carly enjoys spending time like a good ol’ Texas girl hunting or on a laidback patio having a nice glass of Malbec. She is still amazed each and every day how it can be possible to love her kids so much. Her claim to fame is her record book aoudad that she shot after a grueling stalk in the Panhandle. If she isn’t outside playing with her kids, you can spot her at Target stalking up on clothes, diapers, groceries and all the “necessities.” Before Carly settled into her role as a mom, she worked with the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee and Allies in Service, a Dallas-based nonprofit that helps veterans and military families. An Arkansas native, Kat originally moved to Dallas on a four month fundraising contract and quickly fell in love with the city. She worked in Texas politics and for some local and international nonprofits before attending graduate school at SMU. She is now mom to a headstrong and sassy little girl named Afton. She is passionate about pre and postnatal wellness and about supporting other mamas, helping them find community, and encouraging them to reach their own goals. She can often be found (toddler in tow) at Katy Trail, White Rock Lake, or trying out all the amazing food, culture, and community that Dallas has to offer. She loves farmers markets, SEC football, fresh flowers, and La Croix.Whitney is originally from central Illinois but moved to Texas for love! She has two sons (August 2011 and January 2013) and a daughter (May 2015). Whitney works for a major retailer in digital marketing creative, where she has been for the past eight years. She loves Dallas—the amazing friends she has met here, the Tex Mex, the bluebonnets, the arts and culture, the mild winters, and having lots of family, including her in-laws, one of her sisters, and her favorite uncle, nearby. Her passions include reading, sports, (daydreaming about) traveling, and spending time with friends and family.Amanda was born and raised in San Diego, California. In 2016, she and her family packed up and took the 1,500 mile trek to north Texas, happily settling in Collin County. Amanda was a hairstylist in California, but is currently taking a break from the world of beauty to care for two young beauties of her own. When she’s not chasing after her kids, sprinting through the neighborhood with her high energy dogs, or vacuuming her house like a mad woman, Amanda enjoys exploring Texas, shopping, cooking, and catching up on her favorite television shows. Although she sometimes misses the palm trees and salty ocean breeze, she is proud and excited to call Texas home. Stay tuned for more on her adventures living the SAHM life in Collin County.Katie grew up in Dallas, went to SMU, and spent 10 post-college years in Austin, where she and her husband Mick welcomed Gemma in 2011 and Ryker in 2013. They all moved to central Fort Worth almost 4 years ago and have found it to be quite fun and a great place for kids. Katie is horrible at social media but will admit to a preference for her Twitter timeline these days. Favorite uses for her phone: reading library books and listening to comedy podcasts. Least favorite uses: making and receiving calls. She's forever down to watch any show that's British, supernatural, or on The CW.
