New Hope Christian Academy is offering just that…new hope.

After a recent closure of a prominent Christian school, the founders of NHCA couldn’t help but offer new hope to families east of Plano. DeeDee Mims opened this school with a fire in her belly, and it wasn’t a hard decision. She’s been an educator for over 30 years, and is wholly focused on excellence in academics, teaching leadership, and civic responsibility, compassion for others, and finding one’s purpose globally and spiritually. New Hope is a school seeking to educate in the “most excellent way.”

DeeDee Mims is extremely passionate about the school’s impact on students. She encourages teachers to do what they do best – teach, using instruction most helpful for the learner. That means students learn with tailored lessons with both traditional and non-traditional teaching methods. A child won’t be bored at New Hope Christian Academy; they’ll enjoy learning, growing, and thriving in a supportive, forward-moving environment.

New Hope Christian Academy is now serving children from 3 months to 3 years in their newest Pre-K program, The Nest, and from preschool to middle school at the academy; all with easy access from Plano, Wylie, Murphy, and Richardson.

New Hope Christian Academy joins academic integrity and expertise with the word of God. The teachers are committed to helping a diverse population of students thrive in their own unique ways while modeling godly character. And the kids have fun! The staff of New Hope Christian Academy understand the importance of play and allow the children to expand their minds and bodies in a way that helps them blossom.

She claims to love therapizing couples, educating parents, reading dystopian fiction and sleeping in her free time (read: she never sleeps). Jennifer is a mom of twins, two 15 year olds. Her youngest is...a joy. Let's just stop there. Most days you can find her in her office seeing clients, doing laundry, loading or unloading the dishwasher, or catching up on the latest episode of Real Housewives of (Insert City Here), Walking Dead or This Is Us.
