Fall Maternity Must-Haves

It’s still hard for me to believe I am going to be pregnant throughout the fall this year. My first pregnancy was spent mostly in the hottest part of the year in West Texas, so fashion was really the last thing on my mind. I lived in Nike shorts and oversized tank tops. This time, I’m excited about breaking out some really cute outfits that flatter the bump!

Full disclosure: I’m VERY unfancy and everything you see here is from Target. I know there are some really great maternity shops and stores, but what’s so great out there that you can’t find at Target, am I right?! I am so ready for the cool weather to roll in so I can stop sweating and start looking super cute with my bump in tow.

Without further ado, here are my Fall Maternity Must-Haves!

COMFY JEANS & FITTED TEES

A great, comfortable pair of maternity jeans is key.I just got these from Target’s new maternity line called Isabel Maternity. These have the side panels but I have a pair with the full belly band that I’ll break out in the next few months as my belly grows! I plan to live in these because as a stay-at-home-mom, I like to make it a point to put myself together every day even if I don’t really have much going on!

Another basic that’s super important to have is a cute, simple, short-sleeve tee to pair with cardigans, scarves, etc. The one I’m wearing below is also from Isabel Maternity and it’s only $12.99! Right now, it’s still pretty loose on me, so it should take me all the way to my due date. I plan to buy about 10 more of these in various colors to make it through this pregnancy without feeling frumpy!

CARDIGANS, VESTS, SCARVES & BUTTON DOWNS

The best thing about these add-ons is that you can easily layer them with a great pair of jeans and some tees! I love the look of that bump out in front paired with a cute flannel or a flowy cardigan. The one I’m wearing below isn’t maternity but I LOVE this one from Isabel Maternity and might just have to grab it soon!

DRESSES

Lastly, I love to have a few really comfortable dresses on hand. The one I’m wearing below is a really soft material, and can easily go from day to date night. Dresses just make life simple. Bonus: they’re easy to take on and off, which is exactly what you need for the third-trimester clothing!

SHOES

Another thing that is very important in pregnancy is to have shoes that you can slip on and off easily. Bending down over your belly to lace tennies or pull on boots just isn’t ideal, especially the farther you get into your third trimester. I love these slide sandals right now and will wear them well into the fall. Another good slip on option for when it cools down are Toms. Or you could be like me and just enlist the help of your husband every time you get dressed!

A few items I plan to add to my own wardrobe over the next few months include a couple of tunics, a few more scarves, and a lot more of those fitted tees. Happy shopping, mamas! What are your go-to clothes for a fall pregnancy?
